Lewis Howes Lewis Howes is the first person I heard about when it came to people in the personal development space. I was at a pitching lesson learning how to throw harder and more accurate when I was recommended a book called the School of Greatness by Lewis Howes. This was back in 2013 before being a social media influencer was really a thing. I remember thinking that it might be a good idea to read this book. The person I went to for a pitching lesson was far from my house I would have to drive a good hour and a half to go see this person about once a week. I thought to myself well if I am spending three hours in the car for one hour of pitching practice I should just listen to a book for part of my drive. After listening to the book I was fascinated with Lewis Howes's personal journey and how he had lived his life.  Howes was one of the first guys to the party when it came to taking advantage of social media and the impact you can make on it. He was also one of the first inf

Jesse Itzler Jesse Itzler is another interesting person but I am excited to post about him after I wrote about David Goggins. The reason is that Itzler was a highly successful entrepreneur that felt he needed to get more out of his life so he hired David Goggins to live with him to push him to be more successful. Itzler is the owner of the Atlanta Hawks and founded a company named Marquis Jets, where they basically rented private jet experience to people who could afford them. He did this from starting with nothing. He did not have is Dad pay his way or a friend that helped him out he literally waited outside Warren Buffets' building and waited to speak with someone about his idea. So after telling you this why am I writing about Jesse Itzler and why would it matter for a college athlete. I will tell you right now the reason is he is a great example that you can be good at something and be highly successful as he is, I mean he owns an NBA team and is married to Sara Blakely w

Jay Shetty Jay Shetty is a unique voice and person I connect to deeply. Growing up in the United Kingdom Jay was told he either had to be a doctor or lawyer in order to be a successful person but that drove him crazy as a young kid. He experimented with drugs and was a kid that had a mind all over the place. He went to college to earn a degree in business, one night he attended a talk led by a Buddhist monk and this changed his life forever. He had such a strong passion for what the man talked about that he went to India to become a monk himself. After 3 years of basically mediation, he was ready to share with the world what he learned. In 2016 he started his social media presence and now has YouTube videos with over 400 million views and has 5.2 million Instagram followers. Now for the insight, you will not get from any other blog is this. Meditation does work. I currently have meditated for 176 days straight and it has truly changed my life.
