Bob Proctor

For those who do not know what a paradigm is here you go:
"In science and philosophy, a paradigm is a distinct set of concepts or thought patterns, including theories, research methods, postulates, and standards for what constitutes legitimate contributions to a field."- According to Google

The reason I defined a paradigm for you is that Bob Proctor talks about shifting your paradigm and if you do not understand what a paradigm is you will be lost consuming his content. Proctor was featured in a documentary film titled "The Secret" which according to these people holds the secrets to life. This all seemed pretty fishy to me so I had to watch it and see for myself. End of the day it was them telling you what you think has a large determining factor on what happens. What you think about can become your reality. This can help with any person but specifically the college athlete. College Athletes face difficult schedules and what I call a split mind.

The split mind is needing to succeed in two different areas in life, they need to succeed in the classroom to have a chance on the field but also need to succeed on the field to get school paid for. The mind is constantly split which takes a person to give one hundred percent effort in two areas of life. Some may see this as a challenge that cannot be accomplished while others look at it as an opportunity. Proctor would advise to see the good in the world and seek what can be done rather than what cannot be done. A great example he gives is "everything I was taught about the 1930s tells me everyone was poor. So I came to believe that if a recession came I would be poor, but I went back and looked and there were several millionaires and successful people during the 1930s."  What this explains is no matter how hard it is to live to lives one that takes full effort in the classroom and another on the field they both can be done. Shifting your mindset about it can help you in the biggest way.
