Trevor Moawad

Welcome back to the blog the past couple weeks have been hectic with the Corona Virus going on. I know all the student-athletes out there are away from their sports and it can be challenging to live a completely different life. While you cannot get out on the field right now you sure can develop your mindset right now. A person's work I would highly recommend to study would be Trevor Moawad.

Little Bit About Trevor
Moawad is from the Pacific Northwest and was a college athlete. His Dad made a living training people on a positive mindset and from growing up with these roots he had a passion to train the mindset. He has created the Moawad consulting group and written a book titled It Takes What It Takes.  He coaches football star Russel Wilson on his mindset more working the way he thinks.

How Can His Work Help YOU!
First off it never hurts to read and study anything that is going to help you with your sport. Trevors' greatest piece of advice that will hopefully help you dive deeper into his work is watching what you say. He says "stop saying stupid shit out loud" The studies have proven that saying negative thoughts out loud makes you 40% more likely to accomplish the negative thought than if you just did not verbalize it at all. For example, if you are a baseball or softball player reading this. If you think you are going to strikeout and you say in the dugout to your teammates hey I think I am going to strikeout you are 40% more likely to strike out than if you just did not say anything at all. Learning little brain hacks like this can really transform a career. If you continually increase your odds in life it will help shape the life you truly desire.
